Your path to a successful Accounting career
As an undergraduate accounting student, you’re likely looking for the best way to prepare yourself for a successful career in accounting. At Harbert College of Business, we understand that this process can often be challenging and overwhelming. That’s why it is so important to take steps now toward your professional success—beginning with writing a resume designed to help land an internship or first job with little or no previous experience in the field. The most important part of any resume is making sure it stands out from others by highlighting relevant skills and experiences relevant to prospective employers in the industry. Your aim should be twofold: demonstrate your knowledge base as well as showcase how you would apply these qualities within their organization if chosen for hire. In other words, you must prove both your hard and soft skills.
Before reaching out to your program champion, make sure to have a resume ready for them to review!
