Position Overview
As the Social Media Intern at The KAW Project Inc., you will play a crucial role in amplifying our mission and engaging our audience across various social media platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and motivated individual to contribute to meaningful initiatives while gaining valuable experience in social media management.
Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Develop engaging and visually appealing content for social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Create graphics, videos, and other multimedia content to communicate KAW Project’s mission and initiatives.
Social Media Management
- Schedule and post content on all relevant social media channels, adhering to a content calendar.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions on social media platforms promptly and professionally.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track and analyze key social media metrics to assess the performance of campaigns and content.
- Provide regular reports on social media analytics, including recommendations for improvement.
Community Engagement:
- Foster and grow an active and engaged community on social media platforms.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement social media campaigns that align with organizational goals.
Qualifications
– Current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program.
– Seeking college credit.
– Passion for the arts and a belief in the power of art to empower and inspire.
– Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Proficient in graphic design and video editing tools.
– Creative thinking and a passion for the creative and arts area.
Location: Remote/Virtual with Occasional In-Person Outreach to Artists/Arts Agencies in Intern’s Local Community
Duration: This is a part-time internship, requiring approximately 10-15 hours a week (more if requested, w/ no more than 20 hours a week). The schedule is flexible to accommodate academic commitments.
